We Fix Sidewalks

A complete website redesign and backend rebuild for a national sidewalk repair and restoration company to support ongoing marketing efforts.

Project Background

We Fix Sidewalks provides an array of commercial and residential concrete repair and restoration services. Since 2018, the company has steadily grown, boosted by its expertise and cost-effective solutions. We Fix Sidewalks came to Spark Creative to build a content marketing strategy. However, the company’s website could not easily host published content. Likewise, the website did not position We Fix Sidewalks as an industry expert. As such, before starting a content marketing strategy, we determined that we needed to rebuild We Fix Sidewalks’ website.

Our Approach

We worked to rebuild We Fix Sidewalks’ entire website, on the frontend and backend. Starting with the website’s design, we put a renewed focus on the best UI and UX practices that the company’s previous site lacked. Our design combined these best practices with other creative elements that would work on both desktop and mobile devices.

On the backend, we focused intently on the new website’s information architecture. Knowing our end goal of wanting the site to position We Fix Sidewalks as an expert, we strategized a multi-layered sitemap with long-form content. This site aptly balances beauty and functionality.

Our Work

Our work with We Fix Sidewalks marked the first time Spark Creative designed a dark themed site. We used the company’s logo as a foundation for a darker color palette, with the brand’s gold used as the primary accent color. The website incorporates a variety of iconography and images—including some from the company’s past projects. We worked with Ginger Digital Marketing to write optimized copy, aiming to increase the website’s organic search traction. Every page also follows the best practices for on-page and technical SEO.
